The
Cemetery Today
Historic Adams State Road Cemetery, also known as the Honeyville Cemetery and State Road Cemetery, is located approximately one mile east of Adams Center, New York on US Route 177 and is one of the oldest cemeteries in Jefferson County.
This quaint, rural cemetery is a testament to families and their loved ones. The numerous beautiful gardens, benches, and trees provide an idyllic setting for giving pause, reflection and peace.
Our Commitment
Our passion and our mission is to provide a serene resting place which not only touches
the past in a respectful manner, but also provides continuity into the
future for our younger generations. Whether looking for a final resting
place for a loved one or researching your family history, the members of
the association will provide all the necessary
assistance and support.
Help Us Preserve History
The extreme weather this past winter inflicted more damage to our cemetery than we've seen in decades. High winds resulted in trees being blown down, fallen limbs, and stones either damaged or shifted on their bases. As a result of this, we now have a significant number of gravestones and monuments that are in dire need of being repaired.
Thanks to the many volunteers who contributed both their time and energies, the cemetery grounds have been cleaned and restored. Now we need your financial support to properly restore the gravestones that have been entrusted to our care so that they may continue to exist for future generations. So we ask that you please consider making a donation to our Adopt-A-Monument fund. The Adopt-A-Monument fund will be used exclusively to repair, restore, and conserve the 180 years of history represented by the Adams State Road Cemetery.
